TASMANIA'S premier trainers David and Scott Brunton had another good say at the office at Tattersall's Park in Hobart on Wednesday with another three winners added to their growing tally for season 2013-14.
Team Brunton also provided the trifecta in the Kevin Sharkie Class 2 Handicap over 1400 metres with the much improved Lander Dollar leading all the way to defeat stablemates Vigilante and Vinder.
It is not the first time the Bruntons have secured all three placings in a race.
The treble takes their season tally to 59-1/2 to be 25-1/2 clear of their nearest rival Barry Campbell with Adam Trinder one win away third.
The Bruntons' other winners were Left Ear in a 2YO and upwards maiden (1400m) and Westering Home in a Benchmark 78 Handicap over 1600 metres.
Apprentice Kodie Grace, who is on loan to team Brunton, handled Lander Dollar well, allowing him to settle into his comfort zone and the youngster waited until the right moment to release the tight hold he had on the reins nearing the home turn.
While Scott Brunton said it wasn't an unexpected result, most punters got it wrong sending Lander Dollar out at $10.30 as the stable outsider while Vigilante ($3.70) and Vinder ($4.20) were first and second favourites respectively.
Lander Dollar showed promise last preparation winning a maiden and placing twice but this time in her has been ultra consistent.
The opened with a second in a class one handicap in Hobart on March 23 and followed up with a game third to Maglia Rosa in a strong class one over 1100m at the same venue on April 13.
Two weeks later the four-year-old gelding won a class one handicap over 1175m defeating stablemate Duran and prolific placegetter One More Red.
Brunton said Lander Dollar had a bright future and that he had the potential to win over more ground.
