Impeccably bred filly Vinder dispensed with her maiden status like a horse with a future in the Fairbrother 3YO Maiden over 1000 metres at Tattersall's Park in Hobart today.

With stable rider Patrick Keane aboard, the three-year-old filly settled midfield but was always travelling comfortably for the rider and when Keane called on the filly for the big effort in the home straight she responded magnificently.

The David and Scott Brunton-trained filly, by Danewin from the El Moxie mare Moxie's Jewel, is raced by a syndicate of 15 including Brett Harris who has enjoyed his share of success with horses he has raced over the past five years.

Carnelian Crystal led and looked to have her rivals off the bit and chasing hard turning for home but the Rhonda Hall-trained filly was unable to answer the winner's challenge.

Despite a strong push on course for the winner she eased on the Tote to pay $10.30 while her more fancied stablemate Crambazzled ($3.20) failed to flatter and finished a distant fifth.

Vinder's dam Moxie's Jewel only had 13 starts for three wins and five minor placings when trained by Peter Morgan in Victoria with one her victories being at Sandown over 1200 metres.
