Courtesy of Tas Racing 08/11/12 - TEAM Brunton dominated the thoroughbred meeting in Launceston last night preparing four winners on the eight-event card.
The stable has produced multiple winners at the past four meetings and with a promising crop of three-year-olds and some of last season's stable stars to reemerge the Bruntons can look forward to continuing to dominate the winner's circle.
David and Scott Brunton saddled up What Life Brings to score an effortless first-up win in the SuperVobis (Tas) 3YO Maiden Plate over 1100 metres.
Leading jockey Brendon McCoull partnered What Life Brings (Savoire Vivre-Sinizzor) and he ensured the full brother to former star Life To The Full was given a trouble-free run but taking him straight to the front.
When McCoull asked he three-year-old to extend in the home straight the flashy chestnut gelding burst clear and went on to score comfortably from Keukenhof with Sheza Fatty Boomba a close-up third.
Short Story was the second to salute for the Brunton stable and the win was most definitely attributed to McCoull's masterful ride in the class one handicap over 1200m.
McCoull also guided Double Unique to a dead-heat for first with the Charlie Goggin-Luella Meaburn-trained Tap It In in the Class Two handicap over 1200m before partnering King Kalakaua to an effortless victory in the Benchmark 78 Hcp over 1400m.
While Team Brunton trained half the card, McCoull ended the night with five winners to equal his best haul.
